Privacy policy.

What we do with the details you send us, who else handles them, and what you can ask us to do about it.

Last updated: 17 August 2026

1. Who we are and how to reach us

Lumis Digital provides AI phone answering for small businesses. We are based in Somerset, England. We are the data controller for the details you send us through this website.

Post: [BUSINESS ADDRESS]

Email: hello@lumisdigital.co.uk

2. What we collect

Only what you type into one of the three forms on this site. There are three, and they do not all ask for the same thing.

  • The call back form on the home page. Your email address.
  • The pricing enquiry form. Your name, your mobile number, what kind of business you run, what happens to your calls at the moment, and which plan you were asking about. This form does not ask for an email address.
  • The booking waiting list on the build your agent page. Your email address.

Each form also carries a hidden field that stays empty unless a spam bot fills it in. There is no other collection on this site. We do not ask for payment details anywhere on it.

3. Why we collect it

To reply to you and arrange a call. That is the whole of it. We do not run a mailing list and we do not sell or pass your details to anyone for their own marketing.

Our lawful basis is legitimate interest: you have started a business enquiry with us, and answering it is what you asked for and what you would reasonably expect. If you would rather we did not hold your details, say so and we will delete them.

4. Who else handles it

A few suppliers handle your details in the course of getting them to us:

  • Netlify. Hosts this website and stores what you submit through the forms.
  • Zapier. Triggers the automatic email that acknowledges your enquiry.
  • ImprovMX. Runs our hello@lumisdigital.co.uk address, which is a forwarding alias rather than a mailbox. Anything you send there passes through ImprovMX, which forwards it on to our inbox.
  • Google. Provides the Gmail inbox that forwarded mail arrives in, and where we read your enquiry and write our reply.

Some of these process data outside the UK. They are all large providers with their own data protection commitments covering those transfers.

5. How long we keep it

For as long as we need it to answer you and deal with anything that comes of it, and for a reasonable period after that in case you come back to us. Then we delete it. If you want it gone sooner, ask and we will remove it.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:

  • Tell you what we hold about you and give you a copy.
  • Correct anything we have got wrong.
  • Delete what we hold.
  • Stop using it, where you object to us holding it.

Ask us at hello@lumisdigital.co.uk and we will sort it out. You do not have to give a reason.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator for data protection, at ico.org.uk. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.

7. Cookies

This site sets no cookies. There is no analytics on it, no tracking pixels, and no advertising tags. Nothing is stored in your browser to follow you around, here or anywhere else.

The fonts are served from this site rather than from a font network, so loading a page here does not tell anyone else you visited.

8. Call recordings and allergy information

This section is about the service itself rather than this website.

When a Lumis agent answers a call for one of our client businesses, it takes down what the caller says and passes it to that business. That can include allergy and access information given by the caller.

For those calls the client business is the data controller, not us. They decide why the details are collected and what happens to them afterwards, and we handle the call on their behalf. If you have rung a business that uses Lumis and you want to know what happened to your details, ask that business. If you are not sure who to ask, contact us at hello@lumisdigital.co.uk and we will point you to them.
